Meet Kathy
I am a Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Hypnotherapist, Holistic Pelvic Care Practitioner, HypnoBirthing Educator and hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology.
I have always been interested in working with people and learning ways to help others. I spent many years working in various San Francisco Community Mental Health programs as a counselor and social worker. During my clinical training, I was inspired from my own healing path to explore hypnotherapy and holistic approaches to health. These practices spoke to me in a deep way and provided a wider perspective of human experience. My explorations led me to birth work - teaching classes and supporting new families through this life changing experience. From my interactions with conception and birth I have witnessed and experienced the wisdom and healing capacity of the body, divine feminine energy, and the power of vulnerability. I tune inwards for guidance and follow where my spirit leads me. It has led me on an unconventional path and I am deeply grateful for all the steps I’ve taken to bring me where I am today.
In my spare time I enjoy hiking, crafts, yummy food, cooking, yoga and quality time with family and friends.
I believe everyone has the ability to heal. medicine is available for all wounds.
My Philosophy
My intention is to help my clients connect to their intuition and radically accept themselves. My commitment is to do the same and to be present.
I believe everyone knows what is right for themselves. It may take some time or practice to connect to that information, but ultimately we know within us what is best. I work with my clients to connect to that information more clearly and to apply it to their daily lives.
Health and balance come from the harmonious union of body, mind and spirit. When I work with my clients I take into account all of these aspects of their experience. When there is alignment, this allows for movement and change.
In my own journey, I have come to learn more about Women, transformations, and divine feminine energy. Women are powerful beings with a tremendous amount of creative potential. I work with women to recognize that the empowerment they seek is within them. To live by our truth and to follow our inner guide often requires courage and a willingness to take risks. We can find that strength within us, in community, and in our bodies.
